Clinics

Scripps Ranch Softball Offers Skills Clinics for all ages during the Spring season. As these clinics become available during the season you will be able to sign up daughter through your account. If your daughter is age eligible for a clinic it will display that there are programs they can participate in.

Some clinics require a fee and some are free.

Scripps Ranch Softball Association is offering a free skills clinic for all registered players.  From T-Ball to 14U these clinics will help the players learn new skills and sharpen old ones while generating excitement for the upcoming 2022 softball season.  SRSA is excited to partner with Scripps Ranch High School softball to provide a fun environment full of energy in order for the girls to learn, improve their skills, and most of all, to enjoy playing the game of softball.  Participants do not require previous softball experience to attend. Coaching assistance will be provided by the Scripps Ranch High School softball players.

Please bring a glove, bat, helmet, water, and a jacket in case it is cold.

Please RSVP to Dickie Sweeney, Director of Coaching, to ensure a spot for your daughter and sufficient coaches to keep the ratio of players to coaches low.

Saturday 1/8/22
8 am: 12U & 14U
9:45 am: 10U
11:30 am: Rookies/T-Ball
12:45 pm: 8U

Who:

Girls enrolled in our T-Ball, Rookies, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U programs are welcome and will be grouped by age/ability

8U, 10U, 12U & 14U Pitching Clinics (Free)

8U, 10U, 12U & 14U Pitching Clinics (Free)

Sign up for a pitching clinic. Each clinic will be about 30 minutes long with the first one starting at 4:00p and last one ending at 6:00p (3-4 sessions per day). There will be ~3 spots available per time slot on a first come first served basis. Once signed up you will be notified which time slot your daughter will be assigned to. We will be breaking the girls out by age (8U, 10U, 12U/14U) and pitching experience levels (beginner, some experience, experienced).

Important: YOU MUST BRING SOMEONE TO CATCH FOR YOUR PITCHER AND A BALL

If you need to cancel please provide 24 hour notice so we can provide make the slot available to someone else.

If there is higher demand for a particular age group we may need to shift days.

We are expecting to continue with clinics through the course of the season as well

Power Line Skills Clinic

Scripps Ranch Softball Association is partnering with Power Line Athletics to provide high level clinics prior to our Spring season. To register for Power Line Clinics, reach out to Sarah Ogle directly at [email protected] . Space is limited for these clinics so reserve your spot now!

Together with Power Line we will be hosting weekly clinics focused on Defensive and Hitting Skills. These clinics have not yet been scheduled but once available the league will notify you via email. 

Clinics are being coached by San Diego native Sarah Ogle.  Sarah pitched and played 2B while maintaining a 3.6 GPA at Carleton College (Northfield, Minnesota). As one of the team captains her senior year, Sarah helped lead the Knights to their best season of all time, breaking the Carleton single-season win record. In her junior year, she earned the start in Carleton's first ever earned playoff game against St. Catherine's. She was named an Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete all four years and earned a spot on the Academic All-Conference Team in 2018. was a D1 All-American Athlete at Campbell University and she was the Head Coach for the Austrian Witches & Austrian Jr National Team. We are very happy to have her as our coach for our clinics.

Defensive Foundations
Hitting Foundations


Where:
Cypress Canyon Park Field 1 (Map)

Who:
Defensive Foundations will teach the girls the proper ways to throw, catch and field a ball. Learn the proper basics for defense.
Hitting Foundations are for all ages and instruction will be provided based on the players specific abilities

What to bring
:
  • Glove and Mask to defense clinics
  • Bat and Helmet to Hitting clinic
  • Water

Cost: Below costs may change
$20 per clinic
$90 if you purchase all 6 weeks ($30 savings!)
Example: if you attend both a fielding and hitting session, then you will have attended 2 separate clinics.
