Scripps Ranch Softball Offers Skills Clinics for all ages during the Spring season. As these clinics become available during the season you will be able to sign up daughter through your account. If your daughter is age eligible for a clinic it will display that there are programs they can participate in.

Some clinics require a fee and some are free.

Power Line Athletics Skills Clinics

Power Line Skills Clinic

Scripps Ranch Softball Association is partnering with Power Line Athletics to provide high level clinics prior to our Spring season. Together with Power Line we will be hosting weekly clinics focused on Defensive Skills, Pitching and Hitting. These clinics will be every Monday from 5 to 8 pm at Scripps Ranch Softball field locations.

Clinics are being coached by San Diego native Amber Schisler.  Amber was a D1 All-American Athlete at Campbell University and she was the Head Coach for the Austrian Witches & Austrian Jr National Team. We are very happy to have her as our coach for our clinics.

To sign up for the clinics call (619) 850-1884, sessions are limited to 6-8 girls so don't delay. Call to reserve your spot.

Mondays at:
5:00 pm Defensive Foundations (Throwing, Catching and Fielding techniques)
6:00 pm Hitting Foundations session
7:00 pm Intermediate Pitching session (2+ years experience)

Cypress Canyon Park Field 1 (Map)

Defensive Foundations will teach the girls the proper ways to throw, catch and field a ball. Learn the proper basics for defense.
Hitting Foundations are for all ages and instruction will be provided based on the players specific abilities
Intermediate Pitching is for pitchers with 2+ years of pitching experience

What to bring
  • Glove and Mask to Pitching and defense clinics
  • Bat and Helmet to Hitting clinic
  • Water

$30 for one session
$100 for 5 sessions
$150 for 10 sessions - Best deal only $15 for a full one hour session
Example: if you attend both a pitching and hitting session then you have used 2 sessions worth of what you have purchased.

Blackout Dates (No Sessions):
None at this time.

If you cannot make a session that you have signed up for you must cancel 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for that session. So try and make all sessions you enroll for.

Catching Clinic

Catching Clinics
For 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U players registered for SRSA softball that want to catch

8 Monday nights – 1/28, 2/11, 2/25, 3/4, 4/1, 4/8, 4/15, 4/22

SRSA is excited to welcome Lauren Anderson to our catchers’ clinic team. Lauren has been playing softball for almost 11 years.  She played 6 years for Scripps Ranch. She has been catching since the age of 9 and continues to catch in travel ball and high school. In her final all-star season with Scripps Ranch she caught for the 12U Falcons that finished 2nd place at Western nationals.  She currently plays for The Factory Fastpitch Softball Club where she catches, plays outfield and occasionally first base.

Lauren will be running our Intro to catching clinics targeted at the new and younger catchers (8U and 10U) with limited catching experience.  Girls will all be assigned to a 30 minute time slot.

SRSA is also excited to welcome back SRHS Varsity First Team All-league Eastern Division player and former SRSA all-star catcher Alyssa Vilke. Alyssa started playing SRSA softball in T-ball and continued through 14U.

Alyssa will be running our advanced catching clinics targeted towards catchers with over 2 years of catching experience (10U and 12U). Girls will be assigned a 30 minute time slot.

6:15-6:45pm  Second year 12U and 14U

Clinic structure:
Clinics will be 30 minutes in length and limited to 4-6 member groups. 

Groups will be made on a first come first serve basis. Groups are built using catching history and skill level. Please, only RSVP if your daughter can make their time slot. A new sign up will be released each week. If there is a rain out then the clinics will be extended.

9-14 Year Old All Skills Clinic

9-14 Year Old Skills Clinic

Scripps Ranch Softball Association is offering a free skills clinic for our 10U, 12U and 14U aged players to help them learn new skills and sharpen old ones while generating excitement for the upcoming 2019 softball season.  SRSA is excited to partner with Scripps Ranch High School softball to provide a fun environment full of energy in order for the girls to learn, improve their skills and, most of all, to enjoy playing the game of softball.  Participants do not require previous softball experience to attend. Coaching assistance will be provided by the Scripps Ranch High School softball players. Please RSVP to Jason Griffin, Director of Coaching to ensure a spot for your daughter and sufficient coaches to keep the ratio of players to coaches low.
